Dear Patty and the entire Hinson family, I am very sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. I took over for Dennis after his departure from A-034 in Bad Tolz. To be sure, he was a tough act to follow. Dennis was such a great inspiration and role model for everyone around him. A God-fearing man, Dennis always sought to do the right thing, the just thing, at the right time. I am very sorry to just hear of his passing, but knew he was battling an ongoing scourge that threatened to bring him down. He was a great guy, a fine Special Forces soldier, a great husband and a good dad. I shall miss him. God Bless your entire family. I will cherish his memory. Kent Bolster

We had the privilege of meeting Dennis, Patty and Evette soon after we moved to Houston. It was the Fourth of July. We become instant friends. We spent many weekends having “movie night”, watching UFC fights, the boys going to beer fest and visiting the shooting range. We each have moved, a few times, and yet we still have kept in touch. Even with the time and distance we pick up just where we left off without difficulty. We are currently in Pennsylvania, and made plans to visit Dennis and Patty this past October. I am so grateful that we’re were able to spend the evening together, we caught up, had dinner and enjoyed quality time. Dennis will definitely be missed.
