Corson, Glenn E.
Rochester, NY: June 11, 2021 at age 64.
Glenn is survived by his three daughters, Kathryn (Erik) Baker, Elizabeth (Jared Parson) Corson and Emily (Omari) Mitchell, their mother, ex-wife, Nancy (Marcello) Corson, three granddaughters, Ava, Aria, and Ayla Corson, partner, Patricia Woehrlen, brother-in-law, Greg Koert and nephew, Benjamin Koert. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Phaon Corson, mother, Doris (Whitbeck) Corson and sister, Cheryl (Corson) Koert.
Glenn graduated from SUNY Brockport Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Philosophy in 1980. Glenn worked many years in the IT department at University of Rochester and continued his IT career at different companies over the years.
One of Glenn’s great joys was music. He loved playing his piano and sharing his talent. He said once that his dream job was to be a professional musician. And at the beginning and ending of his working life, he knew that joy. Glenn continued his love of learning and thinking by reading with a fury. He particularly enjoyed “the big Russians”, Ernest Hemingway, and a variety of different history topics. He also had a passion for woodworking and created stunning wood masterpieces in his workshop. Glenn loved the outdoors and spent many summers camping in the Adirondacks.
Calling hours and memorial service to be held at Walker Brothers Funeral home,15 West Ave, Spencerport NY, 14559 on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
