To the family of Clara Manteca,
Miss Manteca was my history teacher at King Philip High School class of "66". She is the reason for my love of history still to this day. She also taught 2 or 3 of my children when they reached high school age, they also remember her fondly. She was a beautiful,caring and dedicated person who gave a lot to so many of us. May she rest in peace.

Clara Manteca, or "Miss Manteca" as students called her, taught at Norfolk Central School at least during 1956-57. We must have been some of her first pupils.
Miss Manteca was always a wonderful person and teacher who everyone respected.It's good to read that she had a happy, enjoyable retirement which she certainly deserved.
