I was very lucky to have Walter Haley for my uncle. He was an extraordinary person and the memories I have of him throughout my life hold a special place in my heart.
I will always miss you Uncle Billy.

Walter was such a special person. He will be dearly missed. His optimism and joy of life were an inspiration to everyone who knew him. My memories of growing up with such a wonderful Uncle will stay with me all of my life. Our prayers and loving thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

We enjoyed Walter’s friendship at church. He was a great asset to the Thursday am group and was fun to talk to about his postman days on Tuesday breakfasts. We will miss his sense of humor. “Nice talking to you, Walter!”
It’s hard to imagine a world without Walter, we’ve lost a true gentleman. I can’t imagine a kinder or more thoughtful man.
Those who knew him know exactly what I mean.

I am so sorry to learn of Walt's passing. He was a life-long friend of my late husband, Amiel DeBruycker; I will always remember Walt's wonderful laugh and the funny stories he and his parents told. ( Amiel grew up in Spencerport next door to the Haley family.)
