I have a fond memory of meeting Jean at a Fire Department Banquet when my husband was an officer in the Spencerport Department and John was an officer in the Churchville Fire Dept. The men were representing their respective departments at that event, and both knew many of the other fire fighters and officers present. Jean and I were tag-alongs, so to speak, and neither of us knew anyone else but our husbands. We were introduced to each other and formed an immediate bond. We never left each other’s side for the entire event. After that I would see her, briefly, at some fire department event, and regret that we couldn’t spend more time together over the years. Nevertheless, I will always treasure the memory of the happy hours we spent together the first time we met. May God bless you and your family.
