I met Joyce at Oliver Middle School, and we grew a friendship that lasted until now. Joyce was truly a generous, kind, thoughtful person-a wonderful friend. We had many adventures and heart-to-heart talks throughout the years. After I moved to Ithaca, we mostly communicated by phone. I cherish my memories of Joyce, and send my deepest sympathy to the family. Unfortunately, Susie is the only member of her family that I have met. But I feel as though I know most of you, including Amos. He must be beside himself. He and Joyce were so connected.
