Obituary of John H. Morgan
Morgan, John H.
Spencerport/Colorado: Passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017 in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Rochester, New York on January 27, 1927. John is predeceased by his sisters Kay Anderson, Mary Stanton and his brother Eugene Morgan. He is survived by a sister, Ann Mazza and a brother, Ray Morgan. John is also survived by his children: Christine Morgan of Denver, Colorado, Jack (Kelly) Morgan of Bangor, Maine, Tricia (Garrett) Morgan of Louisville, Colorado and Stephen (Gretchen) Morgan of Denver, Colorado; as well as his five grandchildren, Henry Morgan, Sylvie Morgan, Amelia Morgan, Adelaide Morgan and Aiden Mundelein.
John grew up working on his family dairy farm in Spencerport, New York. He home-delivered milk for a number of years and became a well-known face to many. He served in the Army and relished sharing stories about the time he served at Fort Banks, Massachusetts. In 1969 he began a career in real estate with Nothnagle Realtors, eventually managing the Gates office. There he helped many friends get their own start in real estate and he enjoyed a successful career at Nothnagle’s until his retirement.
John was a dedicated father and good friend to all. He was an enthusiastic traveler and was endlessly curious about exploring new places, and meeting new people. He travelled far and wide with both friends and family and never met a road-trip he didn’t like (e.g. “I was thinking I’d like to go see the Borax Museum in Death Valley. Anyone interested in coming along?”). His favorite travel destination however, was any destination that included his grandkids, who were an endless source of joy for him. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8th at 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist in Spencerport with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
