Following four years of service he attended RIT and graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering. When Frank and Marian married on April 10, 1948, they made their home on South Avenue in Brockport. Frank was an active volunteer with the Brockport Volunteer Fire Department and played the trombone in the Firemen's Marching Band. He was a manager and manufacturing engineer at General Electric and retired in 1982 after 28½ years of service. Frank was very active in the First Baptist Church in Brockport and sang in the choir for many years. Upon retiring, he and Marian embarked on a cross-country trip in their VW camper. They spent many winters in Zephyrhills, Florida where they were very active at the Wood Dale Mobile Home Park and made many friends. Frank brought his trombone out of storage and began playing in the park's band.
