Obituary of Everett Campbell

Everett James Campbell, 84, died on February 4, 2015, with his daughter Bonnie Heather Campbell by his side. Born in Clarion, PA, he was married to Louise Campbell from Feb. 17, 1951 until her death, Sept. 28, 2014. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He earned degrees from Roberts Wesleyan College, the University of Denver, and Temple University. Dr. Campbell taught and held administrative positions at these colleges: Roberts Wesleyan Campbellsville College, Morehead State, Bethel, Point Loma Nazarene, and Central Christian. He was also a visiting professor at Florida A&M, the University of Natal, South Africa, and the University of London. He was active in various churches and in politics throughout his life throughout his life. He served as a campaign surrogate for President Gerald Ford. After retiring from teaching he served as CFO of the San Diego Rescue Mission, then lived in Arizona before relocating to the Chicago area. Everett was beloved husband and father; a kind and patient friend to all, a lover of beauty, and a generous, spontaneous soul. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Larson and a brother, Harold Campbell. He is survived by his daughter, a sister Laverna Madgewick Deemer, a brother Willis Campbell, and cherished nieces and nephews.
