I read somewhere that God will not ask how many friends you had, but rather will ask how many people to whom you were a friend. Heather was my friend and was a friend to many - all of us were blessed by her friendship. I often wonder why someone like her is taken from us so soon. But as the old spiritual says "Farther along we'll know all about it, Farther along we'll understand why, Cheer up my brother live in the sunshine, We'll understand it all by and by." As time passes the day will come when thinking of her will bring a smile to our lips instead of a tear to our eye. That is how Heather would want it.
