Obituary of Harley Tuttle
Harley was born on July 18, 1929 in Highland Park, MI to Tracy & Ruth Tuttle.
As a kid, Harley enjoyed time spent with his family. He often worked the land farming with his dad and brother. Harley was a high school graduate. Harley worked very hard at his job once he entered the working world. As needs arose, he would figure out solutions or designs to correct the problem. Harley was always the "go-to" guy when something was needed on the job. Harley was very proud of his work and had experience in areas such as farming, iron work, installing hardwood flooring, construction, and was an
Engineer/Plant Manager (for the largest dry-cleaner in western NY).
Harley was lucky enough to have a 60-year love affair with his loving and amazing wife, Alejandra. Together they raised their large and wonderful family. Family trips to Mexico were always enjoyed. He was a loving father who taught his children the value and integrity of an honest day's work.
Some of his favorite past times included gardening, especially vegetable gardening. Harley always enjoyed harvest time in the garden and was very proud of his hobbies. He loved animals, fishing, visiting with people and helping others to learn. Harley was a hard worker, but also liked to relax with a Genesee Beer and a cigar. Harley was a fan of football and basketball. He was an avid reader and kept abreast of all the news.
Family and friends would best describe Harley as social, intelligent, someone who liked solving problems, could fix anything, a guy with a great sense of humor who was witty, outspoken, spoiled his grandkids, and had good common sense.
Harley aged gracefully and was a loving grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
