Obituary of Ronald Arva
August 25, 2013. Predeceased by his father, Ronald W.; nephew, Eric Wall. Ron is survived by his fiancé, Leasah Smith; children, Chad (Teeah Pound) Arva, Rachel (Dan Tommaselli) Arva; grandchildren, Lilli, Cohen, & Kyleigh; mother, Margaret (Earle) Foster; brothers, Mike (Jan) Arva, & James H. (Katrina) Arva; sister, Margie Wall; several nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Ron's funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St, Spencerport. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049 in Ron's memory.
Ron was born on June 16, 1953 in Rochester, NY to Ronald & Margaret. During his childhood, he had a pet raccoon and a dog named Ringo.
Ron graduated from Churchville Chili high school in 1972. Age age 14, he went to work as a heavy equipment operator to actively support his mother and siblings.
Family was important to Ron and he especially loved when they, and friends, would join him at the 1000 Islands. Some of his other favorites included watching Survivor, the news, and westerns on television.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also liked Nascar and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. He loved spending time at the 1000 Islands, playing euchre and liked eating!
Family and friends would best describe Ron as being strong willed, honest, hard working, well loved, living life to the fullest, having a great sense of humor, being resourceful and have a love of riding motorcycles. He'll be greatly missed by everyone.
