Spencerport is blessed for the many lives Marty influnced and continues to influnce in his memeory. Marty was a fellow classmate, we graduated together in 1979, he was also a co-worker, but mostly he was a friend of my husband and myself. I still can't believe you're gone. You will always be missed and loved. I will always remember you were the smartest one in our class because you got to play with kids and wear gym shorts. Rest in Peace brother.

Spencerport has lost another great hometown boy, doing good for his community.
We walked the same ground, and shared many of the same freinds.
He was full of energy, and a true shining star.
If he knew he made a mistake on Attendance, he would come down in person each time and say, "Me Bad". He owned it, no excuses. I always appeciated it,because I knew , that he knew how important attendance was each day. When I heard, that we had lost him, I could not help but to hear him say, "Me Bad". I know he is owning it up there too. I am so sorry for his pain. I will miss him busting through the doors and breezing in and out of the office.
My heart goes out to his family,all his students, fellow co-workers, and friends. We have suffered a great loss, let us all, love and respect one another more. Peace Marty.

Marty was my teammate and partner in crime coaching . . . but most of all he was a friend first. No matter what was going on in his life he would always be more concerned with you and if you needed help he was always first in line. Marty was an amazing person. When he was the PE teacher at Bernabi he touched both of my children's lives helping them to believe in themselves. Then later when I started working at Cosgrove a few years ago, Marty welcomed me and included me in all of the activites. I loved working with him and the other PE teachers. We will miss you Marty and will carry your spirit with us.

I remember Marty's care and guidance of the kindergarten class in Hilton when he subbed for the teacher, many years ago. Then he did a wonderful job as PE teacher in summer program for Boces 2. I recently was supervising students at Cosgrove School and they went to PE under Marty's direction. He was so great with these students, despite their limitations and made them feel successful and valued. He remembered me, calling me by name, even after about twenty years. This special man has touched many lives. I am so sad at his passing. My sympathy to Emily and his treasured sons.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Marty's sudden passing. Though I did not see Marty since our college days I had the privilege of playing on the University of Buffalo team for one year with him. He was a great guy with the most wonderful smile. He welcomed me as one of only 3 freshmen on the team with open arms. Only 3 weeks ago I lost my wife as well, so I can say I know how hard it is for Marty's family to lose a father, a spouse, a brother and son at such an early age! Emily, Luke, Alex and Marty's mom and siblings, We are so sad to hear that Marty will no longer be physically with us!! He touched our lives and will be missed. When I think of him I can see him coaching Ben and when he thought Ben needed a bit more he would bring a sled to practice and sit in it and have Ben pull him (I am pretty sure Ben was..oh maybe 10 at the time hahaha)... Ben and I shared those memories over the phone. Ben sends his love as he serves our country as a US Marine. He would have very much liked to see you during this difficult time.
