Mabel's religious activities included, assisting in church nursery, she was strong in her faith, and was part of the Senior Citizen Group. Early in Mabel's life, she took over the role of mother, as her mother had died when she was 10. Her family functions were, The Barton Family Reunion, and all get togethers were a celebration to her. Mabel's hobbies were cooking and baking, she was well known for her pies. She liked gardening and camping, and traveling to Hawaii and Alaska.
What gave her the most enjoyment and passion was her family and young children. You would describe her as a kind, lady like person. She did her best, she put others first, and grew up on a farm, was an organic gardener, she was frugal with herself, but was generous to others.
