Grandpa, ever since I was little, I'd always look forward to going to your house for bonfires, Easter, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas. I remember when on Christmas a couple years ago, you decided to go outside and walk up to the big window with a mask on and scare us. Yeah, that scared me a lot. I also remember when I went over to Aunt Cheryl's house and I caught a huge bass with my little Barbie fishing pole, but you didn't believe me. And this pass summer, I remember when we were at Aunt Marie's house and I finally learned how to take a fish off the hook and I showed you that I could finally do it by myself. I have always wanted to go hunting with you, but I was too young. But getting to spend time with you while fishing is probably the most cherished memory I will ever have of you. Along with fishing, I loved it when you would show me your little toys that you have on your selves in your room and tell me stories about when you were in the Army, and to this day, I still do not know if they are true or not... Either way, they still always make me smile and laugh. But ever since I was little, I had always thought you'd live until I was older and that you would be able to see me before I went to prom in high school or maybe even be at my wedding. When my mom told me that you had went to heaven, I didn't know what to do, I had lost someone who was a huge part of my life. Grandpa, I know I will miss you more and more each day, knowing that it's one more day without you, but I also have to remember that every day is one more day closer to seeing you in heaven. I can't even imagine how many pranks you're going to pull on everyone when they make it up there with you. I'll see you later, grandpa! I love you! <3

I'm gonna miss you so much, Grandpa. I always loved hearing your stories about growing up, being in the Army, and especially your hunting stories. I'm gonna miss sitting in the living room and talking about politics for hours on end. You taught me so much and blessed my life in so many ways. I'm going to cherish every moment we spent together. And don't you worry, just like I was telling you at Thanksgiving, I'm getting my hunting license and I'm gonna shoot me the biggest buck I can find, just for you. I love you so much, Grandpa and I'll see you again someday.

Dad, Last night I was at your house and saw deer tracks in the driveway and right out the family room doors. I know how much you liked seeing them. Thank you for always being there for me. Like the time I got my first ticket and WE kept it a secret from Mom, teaching me how to fix things like the lawn mower, how to hunt, fish, plant gardens, and there is so much more. I will always laugh about the orange juice I dumped in your lap at the dinner table (I thought I was in BIG trouble) and you just laughed. Missing you so much. I love you Pappy!
