Obituary of Mary Freeman
Thursday September 22, 2011 at the age of 93. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Robert Freeman, son, Robert Campbell; grandson, Michael Campbell; parents, George and Mary Nixon; her brothers, Albert and Bill Nixon and Howard Larkin; sisters, Emily Marr and Helene Larkin; Mary is survived by her grandson, Douglas (Margaret) Campbell; great grandchildren, Kyle, Elizabeth and Melanie; her sister, Harriet Ireland; several nieces and nephews. Mary's family wishes to extend a very special Thank You to all the staff at Westwood Commons and Wedgewood Nursing Home for all of their loving care.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 1:00PM on Saturday at Ogden Presbyterian Church 2400 South Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. Those wishing to send expressions of sympathy, please consider Ogden Presbyterian Church or Lolly Pop Farm.
Mary was a Protestant and a member of the Ogden Presbyterian Church, and her friends were the members of the church and also Chris & Jerry Matulli, Pat Sherman and Fran Noah. Her favorite music was hymans and country. Mary was part of the Ogden Seniors Group, she was a blood bank donor and a volunteer for several years. Her special accomplishments were being a volunteer at Brockport Hospital, she enjoyed being a volunteer for just about anything. Mary was a housewife and she was a foster mother for several years. She worked at Kodak and as a cashier at the IGA store in Spencerport, for a few years. The activities she enjoyed the most were watching people and going to their cottage at the lake. Mary's hobbies consisted in reading and writing in her diary everyday. Lollypop Farm was a cause that she was passionate with. The best way to describe Mary, she was friendly and always smiling.
