I miss you dad. I wish you were here to see my hair growing back. It's also wood splitting and stacking time but I guess you got out of that one. I love you.

Michael was the oldest in age of the Keefe cousins but one of the youngest of heart----he was pretty special to all his cousins. My mother, Joan, held him high on her list. He was good about bringing his mother, Regina, to Tucson so the sisters could hang out together while he went for long walks. He also rescued his aunt while laughing uncontrolably from his mother's bathroom. I think cars and sailboats were high on his list but not before his family that meant so very much to him. Michael, we shall all miss you dearly.

I love this picture of Michael. He has that so familiar smile - that looks like he's up to something. I have such positive memories of him it's hard to pick one. When we were real young we spent Christmas Eve at our Coffey cousin's at the farm on Gillette Road. Michael was six years older than me and so I would naturally believe anything he told me. (us - siblings) He convinced us that it was a thud I heard on the roof, and yes that was a reindeer we heard snort and who else could it be but Santa we heard (or thought we did) laugh downstairs. What I loved about him was how special he could make me feel. When I would see him in my adult life I would immediately relive those positive feelings. It was always wonderful to see him. I am so sad he is no longer with us.

I am so shocked at the loss of Michael...he was always there, his humor making every event a joyful memory...some of my favorite times as a kid were weekends spent with Michael at the Coffey home in Spencerport, before the they moved to the "farm"...he 'mentored' me in the ways of nature. I miss him.

I will always remember Michael with a smile on my face as he made me laugh so many times. In thinking about Michael I remembered a particular Family Picnic when Michael had this old car that he would drive around out in the field. That picnic he would take us "kids" for a ride. What fun that was. Jill, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family during this very difficult time. Love, Tom & Ann

Dear Jill and family, Dick and I graduated from St. John's school with Mike. Years later we had a class reunion at our home and Mike always had a story "Remember when??!!" and kept us laughing. What a wonderful smile. Mike has left his loved ones a legacy of love and laughter. Happy in love! How spectacular to love, be loved and share moments big and small. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
