The simple life! This is what Regina will always be remembered for. Just the simple things of life is what made Regina the happiest. Loving her family was the simplest of those simple things. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. Regina was born in Victor, NY on November 18, 1916, one of ten children, to her parents, Emmett and Gertrude Keefe. In 1937 Regina graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing. In 1941 she married the love of her life, William James Coffey. Regina worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a Registered Nurse until having children. She raised her son Michael and her two favorite daughters, Mary and Eileen. When Regina's daughter Eileen graduated High School, she went back to work as a Nurse for Wedgewood Nursing Home. Regina was a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Church of Spencerport, where she volunteered for many things over the years. Regina loved to travel with her husband in their Motor Home to many destinations in the United States. This love of traveling took them all over Europe. Ireland was a place of destination several times. This was their favorite place, for nothing more than the love of their "Irish Heritage!" Regina also loved baking, breads, cookies, pies and reading her mystery novels.
Regina's Visitation will be held on Wednesday 4 - 7 PM at the Funeral Home 15 West Avenue Spencerport, NY 14559. A Funeral Mass for Regina will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 55 Martha St., Spencerport. Interment St. Johns Cemetery.
