Obituary of Samuel Chesonis

May 22, 2012 at the age of 96. Sam is predeceased by his first wife, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Arlene L. (Brandt) Chesonis; daughter, Mary (John) Urich; sister, Mildred Gula; granddaughter, Jennie (Robert) Gaskins; several nieces & nephews. Sam was a Navy Veteran of WWII. His funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St., Spencerport. Interment in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Sam's memory. Sam retired from Kodak after 31 years as a welder. Before he worked at Kodak he was a coal miner and aircraft welder. His hobbies included bowling, hunting, fishing, metal detecting and bingo calling.
