Obituary of Bernard Bauman
January 8, 2012 at the age of 91. Bernard "Bud" lived in the Rochester area his entire life. He was one of 9 children of the late Daniel and Katherine Bauman. Survived by wife Florence (Fridd), children Bernard D (Anne) and Marcia (Susan Fraim) Bauman, grandchildren Sarah, Brenden, and Justin, sisters Kay Fischer and Madeline Resch, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Bauman and brothers Henry, Daniel, Alfred, James, and Wilfred.
Bernard's careers included being a dairy farmer in Greece, being a carpenter, and working for the Eastman Kodak Company. He and his wife lived in North Chili from 1969 until 2009. He resided in the Seabury Woods Assisted Living Residence until moving to Wedgewood Nursing Home very recently.
He was a kind and gentle, caring man who was devoted to his wife and loved his children. Family, friends and neighbors were dear to him. He was devoted to his spiritual beliefs and lived his life accordingly. His past times included reading the Bible, growing vegetables in the garden and playing cards with family and friends. He will be forever remembered by all who knew him.
Bernard's visitation will be held 10AM until Noon on Thursday at the funeral home, 15 West Avenue in Spencerport. His funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Inurnment at a later date. Donations may be sent to a charity of your choice .
