Obituary of Dorothy Whitaker

Whitaker, Dorothy (Wakeman) Spencerport: April 9, 2012. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Floyd; daughter, Lois Excell. She is survived by her loving children, Carol (Michael) Stewart, Peggy (Bill) Baldwin; grandmother of Jodie (Sean) Ruck, Jamie Stewart, Jason Stewart, Tammy (Tom) Meyer, Kelly (Jamie) Berardicurti, Kristin (Ed) Tommasi, Bill Baldwin IV, Rachel Baldwin; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, George Wakeman; many nieces & nephews. Dorothy was born on October 1, 1923, daughter to George & Mabel Wakeman. She worked for many years as a secretary with the Spencerport Central School District. She enjoyed reading, traveling & most importantly spending time with her family. Her family will always remember her sweetness, thoughtfulness & kindness. Dorothy enjoyed traveling to the Grand Canyon & Florida. She liked to be outdoors, loved nature & beaches. Dorothy cherished her time spent with "the Gang". Dorothy's visitation will be held 5-8PM on Friday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. in Spencerport. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated 2PM on Saturday at Spencerport Wesleyan Church, 2653 Nichols St.
