David James Muniz

Born September 3, 1968, passed away November 17, 2023. David is preceded in death by his parents, Gail E Dewey & J. Jesse Muniz.

He is survived by his spouse, DesiRae Muniz; stepson, Roman Andrew Gomez; sister, Mary E Bradley; brother, Kenneth Muniz; nieces, Heather, Jess & Caitlyn; nephews, Michael & Kyle; best friend and childhood brother, Rich Polycyn; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

David grew up in Spencerport, NY and graduated from Spencerport High School in 1987. He then joined the US Army and served his country honorably from 1987-1991 as an Army Specialist. Everywhere David went, he knew somebody. He was a member of the American Legion Ferris Goodridge Post 330, and was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Buffalo Bills, Amerks Hockey, and the Spencerport Red Onions. David was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Honorable military burial will commence on May 25, 2024 at 9 AM sharp at the Western New York National Cemetery (1254 Indian Falls Rd. Corfu, New York 14036). Memorial donations in David’s memory may be directed to his favorite cause, Pets for Vets, Inc. (PO Box 10860 Wilmington, NC 28404).
