Obituary of Joan M. Mawn

Passed- October 28th, 2023, Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Joan is predeceased by her loving husband, Richard "Dick"; brother, Joseph McCormack, and granddaughter Madeline Gee. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Rae Lynn), Colleen, Bridgett (Paul) Gee, Sharon (Mark) McCarthy, Daniel (Rosemary), Michael, and Richard. Along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and her beloved cats Dewey & Buddy.  

Born in Archbald Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Rochester where she attended Jefferson High School and graduated from RIT. Joan spent her life raising her family and as a nutritionist at Highland Hospital. Joan loved her family and friends, including her social "Joan Club." She lived a wonderful, beautiful life full of love. Special thank you to Melissa Macomber from Donna's Home Sweet Home for taking such great care of our mother and to RLC Home services for their dedicated care. We love you mom.

Calling hours will be held at Walker Brothers Funeral Home in Spencerport on November 5th from 2-4 PM. Mass will be at St. John's Church in Spencerport on November 6th at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. Friends may join the family after at Spencerport Firemen's Exempts Club. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to the Spencerport Fire Department.
