Obituary of Priscilla Allen Tyler

Travelers Rest, South Carolina- On Sunday, June 4th, 2023, Mrs. Priscilla Allen Tyler (Pris) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Allen passed away peacefully at the age of 84.  

Pris was born in Hornell, New York on June 15th, 1938.  She grew up in Hartsville, New York and attended school in Canisteo, New York. She met her beloved husband Mr. Jerry Lewis Tyler in high school and later married, having two sons John Lewis and Jeffrey Charles (Leila).  Pris was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren; Joseph Lewis, Samuel Adam, Caleigh Victoria, Michael John, Aiden Jeffrey, and Tristan William. 
 
Pris attended college at Alfred University in Alfred, New York, where she obtained a teaching degree.  Pris spent her early years of marriage as a High School Business Teacher in the Hilton School District.  When John and Jeff were born, she took time off from work to raise her sons. Pris went back to work as a Business Teacher at Hilton High School until retirement.  Pris enjoyed going to church, spending time with her walking club, and relaxing with friends in her pool.  Pris also was a dedicated volunteer for the Aurora House hospice facility.
 
Although she will be missed, her family knows that she will be dancing to the oldies with her husband once again. Her Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13th from 4:00 to 7:00PM and Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 14th from 10 to 11 AM at Walker Brothers Funeral Home (15 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559) Interment will  follow service at Parma Corners cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aurora House Comfort Care Home, 2495 S. Union Street, Spencerport, New York 14559 in Memory of Pris.
