Dear Sue, Aimee, Jeff, Vincent and respective Families:
We're heartbroken. The Legend of Loughborough Lake has left this mortal plane, but will forever live on strongly in our hearts. He was a bigger-than-life Husband, Friend and Father, that brought each and every one of us boundless laughter and friendship. He absolutely loved his Lake and all those eclectic comrades he befriended over many decades. I had the very fortunate opportunity to spend more time with Brownie this summer than ever before and I will be ever grateful for that. That will be my heart-warming memory of him, in that splendid setting, for all time. Even though he would sneak up on me in his golf cart hot rod while I was cutting grass, wearing his chic summer fashions (shorts and sandals), and scare the living life out of me many times, we would pause, catch up and mostly laugh, with our Canadian-American clever banter. His antics at the Lake were great material for many conversations around the BBQ or fire.
Even though there is now a big hole that he used to occupy in our lives, I know I will not think of him without breaking a smile or chuckle. He is now at peace and that gives us all peace. One of the Good Guys are gone.
He gave us all a great lesson: 'A heart is not judged by how much you love...but how much you are loved by others'.
