Robert A. "Bob" Hellmann

Hilton, NY. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at age 94. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Walter Clyde Hellmann and Julia Amanda Cameron Hellmann; sister, Winifred Hellmann. Survived by his sons, Robert Walter Hellmann and Jonathan Frederick (Sandra) Hellmann; grandchildren, Sarah Jane and Samuel Thomas Hellmann; sister, Doris Hellmann Wagoner. 

Bob served in the United States Army and was awarded the Victory Medal for his action during WWII. Bob then pursued a Bachelor's degree (1954) and a Master's Degree (1957) from Cornell University. He worked at the American Museum of Natural History. He then obtained a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Columbia University (1966). During his studies for his Doctorate Degree, he spent a year in Uganda, Africa evaluating their school systems from 1961 to 1962. Bob then spent 20 years teaching Conservation for the Biology Department at SUNY College at Brockport. After retiring he ran an Environmental Consulting firm for 5 years. Bob was active in the Hilton Rotary and the Steuben Society local Rochester Chapter. 

Bob's service will be on Saturday, June 11th at 11 am at First Congregational Church, UCC of Spencerport. 65 Church St. Spencerport, N.Y. 14559.
