I worked with Dick with Monroe County DOT for several years in the late 80's. Sounds like he had a nice long retirement - great for him. My thoughts and prayers are with Dick and his family.
I worked with Dick placing traffic counters when I first started working for Monroe County DOT in traffic engineering. Although he often functioned as my supervisor, Dick was always a good friend and I thank him for how he helped me on my way. He will be missed.

When we were kids in Geneseo, after Dick came home from the army... I was in Elementary School one day I forgot my lunch. Someone contacted Dick in the High School. He sent his lunch over to me. I guess he must have purchased his lunch in the cafeteria. Dick was my best man at my wedding in 1960. The night before my wedding day, I stayed at his house and had breakfast in the morning before the wedding ceremony. He fixed hot shredded wheat and bacon.
