Obituary of Donald L. Lenhard
SPENCERPORT - Donald Louis Lenhard, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully November 24th at Elderwood of Lakeside in Brockport, New York at age 91. Don was married to his beloved wife Gay for 62 wonderful years. Don is also survived by his children, Kristy (Chris) Farrand and Robbie (Dave) Dewey; grandchildren Phillip Dodson, Gabrielle (Daniel) Maier, Spenser Dewey, Madelyn Dewey and great-grandson, Carter Maier; brother in law, Patrick (Lois) Hotchkiss; sister in law, Janice Bauer. Don was predeceased by his parents Maybelle and Bill and sister Jane (Ward) Weimer.
Don spent his entire 30-year career in various leadership roles at Eastman Kodak prior to his retirement. He was an active member of the Spencerport Lions Club, American Legion Post 330 and of the Ogden Historical Society.
Don was extremely creative. He was an accomplished painter, a lover of music and a director and writer of many plays, some with the Greece Paint Players. He spent many years active in the First Congregational Church of the UCC in Spencerport (the White Church), where he was active with the youth group and directed numerous performances. Don was always busy, loved to work around the house he’d extensively renovated and kept beautiful gardens.
A 1958 RIT graduate in Graphic Design, he was a proud Army Veteran and served in the Korean War.
NO PRIOR VISITATION. Don’s memorial service will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1 pm at the First Congregational Church of the United Church of Christ “The White Church”, 65 Church St. Spencerport.
