Obituary of Ellen L. Tarmino
Ellen was predeceased by her mother, Jacqueline Maxwell. She is survived by her husband, Dave Tarmino of Cumming, GA; her father, Jack Wagenhauser (Nilda) of Sanford, NC; her children, Katherine (Lorenzo) Withrite of Cumming, GA, Timothy (Kim) Pancoe of Victor, NY, and Michelle (Fred) Costanza of Canandaigua, NY; and her six grandchildren. She wore the title “Nani” as a badge of honor to each one of her grandchildren to include Loren, Lina and Layla Withrite, Tristan and Landon Pancoe, and Connor Costanza.
Professionally, Ellen’s resilience and determination catapulted her from working nights as a nursing assistant in high school, toa Six-Sigma Black Belt quality improvement consultant, creating and implementing processes for hospital systems from upstate NY to Atlanta, GA.
Her immense love of family got her through many hard times over the years. She faced numerous battles with cancer. With each roadblock, she chose faith in God over fear. Among her passions was world travel and her joy in the process of planning her “next trip” with loved ones. In retrospect and chief amongst all her plans was the plan Ellen made with Christ that led to the ultimate destination alongside the Lord in Heaven.
Please join us in sending Ellen off on her voyage at Walker Brothers Funeral, 15 West Avenue Spencerport, NY. Celebration of life will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 pm.
