We were often “partners in crime” from meeting the Ludolph brothers at Midtown when we were young teens to taking out “extra” money while gambling in Las Vegas with our husbands.
We were each the daughters of strong women who were divorced after long marriages. We each married our teenage boy friends and made our marriages work. We cried together at life’s disappointments and supported each other. We each had two sons and survived their teen years and were relieved when they found love and established families of their own. We were thrilled with being grandmothers.
We supported one another in good times and bad. We dieted together and “fell off the wagon” in meeting our goals time and again and finally realized a woman’s beauty isn’t in her waist size but in her attitude. Together and separately we developed plenty of attitude. We developed wisdom and gratitude together.
We were ladies who lunched, shopped, had adventures and loads of laughs. We were Maggie and Trish to each other. My life would not have been as full without Margo in it.
Rest in peace my friend.
