Obituary of Joseph V. Carr Jr.

Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family and loved ones on October 4, 2021. Joe was married almost 60 years to the love of his life Joanne. Predeceased by his grandson, Patrick J. Carr.

Survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Monica (Robert) Wilson, Joseph (Karen) Carr, Lisa (Thomas) DeVine, Robert (Shannon Doolin) Carr, Maura Arendt, Deirdre Williams, James (Dina Larsen) Carr, John (Deborah) Carr; grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Kenneth, Evan, Colin, Joshua, Maxmillian, Nicholas, James, Luke, Gavin.  Joe’s life was centered around his family. He believed in service to Country and his community, as exemplified by his 37 years of military service and his 8 years as Mayor of Churchville.

NO PRIOR VISITATION. Joe’s Funeral Service will be held at St. Martin de Porres Parish at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 11 North Main St. Churchville, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 am.
