I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Gert DeHaven on FB. oUR MEMORY GOES BACK TO THE 1950 -1070 ERA WHEN WE LIVED IN ROCHESTER AND ATTENDED GRACE CHURCH. GERT AND ARNIE WERE GREAT FRIENDS, tHE YEARS AND MOVING HAD SEPERATED US IN PERSON BUT THE MEMORIES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE. MY PRAYERS FOR THE FAMILY DURING THIS LOSS. REV. My deepest sympathy to the DeHaven family. I remember your mom from when I was a child at the Spencerport Wesleyan Church. My parents (Aaron & Helen Stitzer) also attended church with her at Grace Church of the Nazarene for many years. Gert was a wonderful lady and I have many fond memories of her. When my youngest sister Tammy was born, your mom volunteered to take care of my sister Joy. Gert loved the Lord and was always busy helping someone. Heaven has received a very special woman.
