Spencerport - Age 94. Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Gordon W. Nichols; daughter, Nancy Willette Minner; son, G. Wayne Nichols; sisters, Esther Shafer and Lillian (David) Passet; brother, Gerald (Pat) Eccleston.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Norma (Artis) Scott; son in law, Jack Minner; daughter in law, Nancy Nichols; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother in law, Lloyd Shafer.

Ruth was a dedicated Christian woman, who was active in many roles in the local Church of the Nazarene. Together with her late husband, Gordon, they raised their family in Binghamton, NY. Upon the loss of Gordon's job at GAF Corp., they moved to Arlington, TX and then later retired to Rochester, NY to be closer to family. Ruth lost her husband in 2013 and due to her failing health, entered a nursing home in 2019. She was very loved by many, and will be missed most by her grieving daughter, Norma.

Ruth's visitation will be held 4-6 PM on Friday, December 18th at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. in Spencerport.  Her funeral service will be Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home.  Please remember to wear a mask and hand sanitize upon entering the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2924 S Union St, Rochester, NY 14624 in Ruth's memory.
