I was a very good friend of her oldest son ,Jeff, and very impressed with her being a single parent and raising five children on her own while working full time at the college;she always looked after her family. She was a hard worker, but always greeted you with a smile. Jim Quamo

Suzanne and my mother Ginny (and sometimes my father Ray) sat at the same dining table at Fairport Baptist Home. When I visited Mom, I enjoyed also talking with Suzanne and hearing about her family, life in Spencerport, and her family's genealogy project.
When Mom could no longer communicate for herself, Suzanne would keep me informed with her observations on how Mom was doing. I appreciated that. And although she only met my wife one time, she always smiled and asked me "How is your wife doing?"
My family sends our condolences and best wishes. I'm sure she will be missed

For years I delivered meals-on-wheels to Suzanne and ran small errands - like sending a needed birth certificate to her son by overnight mail. She graciously allowed me to take seeds from her wonderful rudbeckia and they still bloom every year in my garden. Thank you Suzanne for the smile the flowers bring me and the wonderful outlook on life you shared . Susan Bixler

She loved having you stop. She told me about the seeds. Thank you so much for everything.

Sue was the CSEA Chapter President while working in the Academic Advisement Office right across the corridor in Hartwell Hall when I became the Personnel Director at SUNY Brockport in June 1970. We both learned from each other as collective negotiating for NYS employees was officially recognized with the passage of the "Taylor Law." We worked through some difficult personnel issues while she served as CSEA President and I am grateful to have been able to have her as a very trustworthy and knowledgeable employee advocate as I gained experience in labor relations. The last time I saw her was a visit to her home around 2005 at which she shared a lot of her knowledge about her early days at SUNY Brockport including loaning me some photos to scan for my personal files. She was a valuable asset at the College as an Administrative Assistant in Academic Advisement and the Nursing Department and I have fond memories of our interactions. Sandy and I send our condolences to her family and friends.
