I was a neighbor of Vivian’s on our street in North Carolina. My husband and I have been foster parents for a few years. Our first foster, a middle school boy, asked “Miss Vivian” if she would pay him to do yard work. And she did! She also praised him and told him he was a good worker. For that boy, those words of encouragement were so valuable. Thank you, Vivian ❤️
Jim and Vivian attended our church, Trinity PCA, VanWyck, SC for a few years before they moved back to New York State. She was always cheerful and showed her love for the LORD in her life. We have missed her and are comforted that she is with the Savior.
I had the privilege of volunteering at the JAARS Family Library with Vivian from 2009 till 2015. We had also moved to Waxhaw from upstate New York and our daughter had attended Roberts Wesleyan. Vivian's love for the LORD, life, her family, and her garden made a great impression on me. A truly gracious lady, a loving servant of Jesus, she will be dearly missed this side of heaven. May the LORD comfort and strengthen the family in the days ahead.
