Dad, I wish I had another chance to give you a hug and tell you I love you, but I know that you already know. I'm happy that after suffering for so long, you were able to peacefully pass on in your sleep and in your own house.
I remember hours of playing pool together (I knew that when I finally was able to beat you I was getting pretty good), shooting off rockets (and blowing up the damaged ones with a final, one way fiery trip), acetylene balloons by the fire, tractor rides in the fields, snowmobile rides in the winter, and so many other things.
Thank you for teaching me to be strong, compassionate and how to have fun. I'll miss you.
