On February 24, 2019 at age 81.  Survived by her husband, Michael F. Piotrowicz of 58 years; children, Amy (Matt Juby) Dieffenbacher, Mickey (Michele Antinone) Piotrowicz, David (Libby) Piotrowicz; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.  

Jane’s visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9 at the funeral home, 21 S. Main Street, Churchville.  Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 11 North Main St. Churchville, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patrick Place, 2006 Scottsville-Chili Rd. Scottsville, NY 14546 or Lifetime Care, 3111 S. Winton Rd Rochester, NY 14623 in Jane’s memory.

Jane E. Piotrowicz life story

Jane was born at home and grew up in Clifton, New York. She graduated from Caledonia- Mumford High School in 1955. Michael and Jane met at a wedding and married a year later at St. Pius X church.  She worked at Rochester Railway Signal as a secretary prior to marrying Michael. 

Jane worked as a cafeteria cashier at Churchville Chili High School while her children were in school, and then later worked for many years as a clerk at B. Forman’s department store.  She was a parishioner at St. Vincent’s since 1976 and taught religious education there.

Jane loved her family and family events, and dressing up for the occasion, always with jewelry.  Jane and Michael wintered at Lake Havasu City in Arizona for over 20 years. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel, playing cards, and decorating her home.  Jane displayed grace and dignity in the face of severe physical limitations.  She was resilient, strong and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She had a strong faith, always witnessing that the Lord took away her pain.  Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
