I was very sorry to learn of Sheila's passing. I became acquainted with Sheila when I was librarian at the Gillam-Grant Community Center in Bergen. Twice a month we would deliver a selection of books to Hidden Meadows, and Sheila was almost always my first customer. She also often came over to the Community Center for various activities, and always made it a point to stop in the library for a chat. We shared our favorite books and authors, especially Diana Gabaldon and Leon Uris, and she always wanted to tell about her family, of whom she was very proud. One time she even produced a gift for me, a pair of her crocheted slippers! After I left Gillam-Grant, we still maintained contact, and she even called me when I was in Louisiana one time, to discuss our favorite Outlander stories. She was a lady of firm opinions, and would brook no nonsense from anyone. It was a privilege to know her, and I will miss her very much. Rest in Peace, Sheila! :)
