Obituary of Shirley Ann Buss

Shirley Ann (Stallman) Buss, 83 years old, went to be with the angels, on November 2, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rochester, NY on August 3, 1935. She is welcomed into heaven by her parents Raymond and Hazel Stallman along with her sisters, Nancy Slattery Charles and Marilyn Glennon.  

Shirley attended West High School, graduating in 1953. After high school she went on to work as a legal secretary for Fred Blum in downtown Rochester for 43 years. She met and married her best friend David Buss and had 64 wonderful years together with him. After retiring from her position with Mr. Blum, she and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy the warmth and sunshine for 23 years.  Most recently, she returned home to the Rochester area to be closer to family. 

Shirley will forever watch over her loving husband, David C. Buss; their three children, Terry Buss, Dale (Sue) Buss and Linda (Mark) Olivet; grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher Buss, Megan Buss Enright, Daniel and Robert Olivet and Sarah Olivet Struzik; four greatgrandchildren, Jackson Buss, Cillian Enright, Elizabeth and William Olivet; several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, along with the Hospice Home Care staff that has taken care of Shirley for the past 6 months.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday; 4-7PM at the funeral home, 21 S. Main St., Churchville, NY 14428. Her interment will be private in Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626 in Shirley’s memory.
